これら実体のブラウザ・サポートは一般的に全く貧弱ですが、最近のブラウザは文字実体参照・十進法参照の内の幾つかをサポートしています。
十六進法文字参照は検証サービスでエラーの原因となることに注意して、と言うのはこれらの参照は、最近の改訂で、検証サービスでまだサポートされていないSGML標準で定義されているからです。
